If You Give a Girl Some Ice Cream

If you give a girl some ice cream, she'll definitely want some caramel and crushed Oreos to go on top.
Once she's eaten the ice cream with the caramel and crushed Oreos, she'll be craving something salty to counteract the sugar.
When she thinks of something salty, french fries immediately come to mind.
If she goes through the drive-thru at Wendy's, she's going to want to get a hamburger to go with it.
Once she's eaten the hamburger and french fries, she's going to feel sluggish.
If she feels sluggish, she won't be able to do anything productive.
If she is unable to be productive, she'll lay in bed and watch Grey's Anatomy on Netflix.
If she starts watching Grey's Anatomy on Netflix, it's likely that she'll be unable to stop until her husband comes home from work.
Chances are, when he husband gets home from work he'll be tired and want to unwind by watching Duck Dynasty.
She'll probably just watch Duck Dynasty with him.
While she watches Duck Dynasty, she'll realize she's hungry again.
She'll mention said hunger to her husband, who also realizes he's hungry.
He'll get up to find them something to eat, and he'll return with a carton of ice cream.
Despite the unproductive, sluggish day...she'll eat the ice cream with her husband-wishing she had saved some crushed Oreos and caramel to go with it.

What's in your purse?

I saw this idea on another blog several months ago and have been meaning to do this for awhile...it just seems fun!

What's in your purse?

The one and only rule: You aren't allowed to clean out your purse before doing this. That ruins all the fun.
Everything at a glance
Category #1: Beauty
I love my mini makeup bag. It keeps all of my essentials in one place, so I don't have bobby pins floating around or lip gloss making everything sticky (-in case you're interested in products here's a short description from left to right).
-Colgate "Wisp": mini toothbrushes and toothpaste...just add water! Great for date night!
-Beauty Rush Lip Stain: Fun and pretty without the commitment of lipstick and the stickiness of gloss.
-Beauty Rush Lip Gloss: Also fun, but very sticky...I'm not getting any kisses while wearing this. Great for work though
-VS Pro Lip Stick/Gloss Duo: Lipstick on top, gloss on bottom. Love.
-Beauty Rush Soothing Lip Balm: no color or shine, just moisture.
-Ben Nye Concealer Cream Crayon: great for touch up
-ELF Lip Balm: with SPF 30! Also, its $1- you can't lose.
-PINK Pretty&Pure Hand & Foot Cream
-an assortment of bobbies and ties.
Category #2: Pen/Paper
I have an office product addiction. I like to have different pens; thick, thin, gel....Fun fact, the silver pen on the far right is from our suite where we spent the first for days of our honeymoon. Anyway, I also have sticky notes to leave notes for myself in my car (or other people on their windshields when they park poorly...jk, that only happened once). My notepad usually houses blog post ideas.
Category #3: Devices
You never know when you'll need headphones or a cord to sync your phone/iPod.
Category #4: Coupons

I house all my coupons here, cut neatly and organized by store/establishment. I love a good deal!
Category #5: Misc.
Sunglasses. Keys. Ibuprofen.

Hopefully, that wasn't a complete bore for you all. :) Now, lets see whats in your purses.....
Anyone?

Dance Dares

I love the Ellen show. If you don't know about Dance Dares, you're missing out on a lot of laughs. Here's my new favorite.

PREGNANT dance dares. This is definitely going on my pregnancy bucket list! ;)

On another note...isn't she TERRIBLE live?

Effective Prayer

We had a lesson in Book of Mormon about effective prayer. I think a topic like this is such a great refresher. I can definitely improve the sincerity and the overall quality of my prayers. Our teacher made a list of 24 scriptures for us to look up that would teach us about effective prayer. The lesson hit me so hard, so I jotted down the list and typed it up.

{for those of you interested in reading them}
I'm working on marking all of them in my scriptures. Its been a really good experience for me.

Happy Weekend!

Fro Yo

So today Christopher lost a bet. It was awesome. You must know that Chris is always making bets with me that he knows I can't win. He likes to tease/taunt me.

We were walking to our car from the Library in the rain. I was ready to be home (we had been on campus since about 9am and it was almost 7). Chris was walking slow, trying to be funny. We got about 10-15 feet within our car. "Open the trunk!" I said wanting to throw my backpack in it and get out of the rain, slightly annoyed at his sluggish pace.

"I bet you frozen yogurt that I will have the trunk open before you get to it." said Chris.

So I ran. And I got there just before he pushed the button and slammed the trunk shut as it started to open. I turned around to look at Chris, who was shaking his head. Victory was sweet.
We went to Twizzlberry (Utah people- its the equivalent to Yogurt Bliss). I ate 20oz of happy pink spoon yogurt.

7 Random Things

Miss Cami Peterson tagged me in her wonderful blog to post 7 random things about myself. Here goes nothin'
#1 I love school supplies, mostly pens. I like to walk around in the "Home Office" section in Walmart for fun. If you want to make me instantly happy- give me a new pen or highlighter.

#2 My (most consistent) favorite TV show is The Biggest Loser. I honestly don't know why I like this show. I don't enjoy exercise and I don't like eating healthy. Maybe its my arteries crying out for help underneath all the fry sauce and cookie dough.

#3 Red Creme Soda is the bomb! If you have never tried Barq's Red Creme Soda you are missing out. I also call it "Red Rootbeer." For those of you currently Residing in Rexburg...the Subway in Walmart has it in their fountain drink selection.

#4 I am extremely squeamish. I passed out at work after cutting my finger (small cut- no stitches). I passed out at the doctor when I was getting a freckle removed. I passed out during my lifeguard class while we were watching the first aid video. Oh dear...whats next. (No photo for this one :)
#5 I ALWAYS take the survey's on the back of receipts. In the last month or so I have entered to win $3,000 cash, a $500 gift certificate to Ross, a $500 gift certificate to TJMaxx, a $5,000 Walmart gift card, and a $5,000 dollar Target gift card. Oh, and I got $2 off a crispy chicken sandwhich from Wendy's. Laugh all you want, one day I will win. :)

#6 If I'm at home, I'm in sweats. My husband and I actually refer to them as "fat pants." Usually when we get home from school or church we run from the front door to our bedroom yelling/singing "Fat pants! Fat pants! Fat pants!" Its good times.

#7 I go through journals like water. I am currently on my 3rd journal in a year. I got a new journal in mid-September and I'm over halfway through it. I usually have it with me anywhere I go.

There you have it. I know that not so many people read my blog...but you if you do and you have a blog post your 7 things & let me know so I can read them! :)

[Awkward]

Today I got a small peek into dating life in Rexburg. Although it was entertaining, it made me very relieved and grateful to have my dating days behind me.
Chris and I were out to eat and I was getting some dipping sauce and I overheard the following conversation:

Guy: "Hey, sorry....but you look really familiar. Where are you from?"
Girl: "Nebraska....?"
Guy: "Huh, we'll I've never been there. (Long, dramatic pause) I guess we must've known each other in the Preexistence."
Girl: "...."

I wasn't sure if I should gag or laugh really hard....holding both in, I coughed a little and walked away.
Really? Did the poor guy really think that was going to work? Or was he being serious. I'm honestly not quite sure. I hope she let him down easy though. I wish him luck in all his future dating endeavors.
